Hear from your own district.
Agora gives an elected official's office a structured way to hear from the people it represents between elections, apart from the noise. If you serve in Congress, the New York State Legislature or the New York City Council, or are the Governor or the Mayor, your profile is already here, built from public records. Claiming it is how you start.
Your profile, built from the record
Every official we cover has a profile built from public records: the bills you sponsor, your committees and, where the chamber publishes them, how you voted. Assembly roll-call votes aren't on Agora yet. Today that covers every member of Congress, the New York State Legislature, the New York City Council, the Governor and the Mayor. Nobody had to sign up for it.
Nothing on a profile is scored, ranked or rated, and every official of every party gets the same page and the same tools. Party is shown as text, never as a colour.
What your office gets
Signal from your own district
See how constituents responded to what you put to them, with your district counted separately from people outside it and from the total. Results appear only once at least ten people have responded, so no one stands out.
Posts that ask for something specific
Put a question to your district instead of a press release: a poll, questions for a town hall, an update on something you're working on.
An inbox you can clear
Questions from constituents arrive as a queue, not a pile. When you answer a town hall question, the person who asked is told.
A reply that means something
Say what you did with what you heard, with a status residents can read: acknowledged, reviewed, incorporated, will address, or answered.
Access for your staff
Delegate the work to staff, with a record of who did what. Staff access follows your office's claim.
What your office never sees
Who said it. Offices see totals for their district, and the reasons and questions residents chose to write, but never a name or anything that identifies the person.
Agora also doesn't forward anything to your office's email. Responses are counted on the platform, and your office reads them there when it chooses to.
How an office joins
A person on our side checks every claim by hand before an office can post. We never approve a claim on an email address alone.
The simplest way to start is to talk to us. Tell us which office you're with and we'll walk you through claiming its profile.
An early alpha
Agora is an early alpha, built deliberately. We're looking for a few offices to shape the office side with us: what a useful signal looks like, what a fair reply looks like, and what staff actually have time for.
The tour shows both sides of Agora, including a chapter on what an office sees. It starts with a quick sign-up.
How we source and label what's on a profile is on how we get our data.
