Agora is civic infrastructure for participation between elections: one place to follow what the officials who represent you are doing, and to respond in a structured way.
Agora is participation-first civic infrastructure for the years between elections. It gives people a structured way to follow and respond to the elected officials who represent them, instead of an inbox or a comment section. The alpha is live across the US: every address resolves to its member of the House and two Senators, and in New York the coverage goes deeper, to the State Legislature and the New York City Council. Agora holds more than 100,000 pieces of public content, drawn from official sources, with plain-language summaries. Alongside the app, Agora publishes Lessons from Civic Tech History: 51 sourced post-mortems of civic platforms, eight recurring failure patterns, and the data as a download.
Please refer to it as "Agora". It is an independent civic project, in alpha.

Agora now has a public page for each of 293 elected officials who represent New York, with their bills and votes. Reading them needs no account.
Agora's alpha at app.tryagora.org is open to anyone in the United States. Here is what it does today, where coverage is thin, and what it does not promise.
We are starting a second round of research conversations with local officials, and publishing the questions before we ask them.
