Agora's Alpha Is Open to Anyone in the United States

October 19, 2026·Building in PublicFor ResidentsParticipation Between Elections

As of October 19, 2026, Agora's alpha at app.tryagora.org is open to anyone in the United States. There is no invitation and no cost. Enter your address and Agora finds the people who represent you, with their public record attached.

What you can do in it

Every US address resolves to its member of the House and both senators. In New York the alpha goes further, to your state legislators, and in New York City to your council member.

For each of them you can read the bills they sponsor, follow what happens to those bills, and see their votes where the public record carries them. You can also record where you stand on a bill. Underneath it all sit 100,000+ pieces of public content, drawn from public sources.

Where it is thin

Coverage is uneven, and we would rather say so here than have you discover it. Outside New York, the alpha is federal only for now. State and city government is deepest in New York because that is where we started, and we explained how we chose that order in August.

It is an early alpha. Parts are unfinished and it changes most weeks. The feedback button inside the app is the fastest way to tell us what is broken or missing.

What it does not promise

No elected office has joined Agora yet. That means nothing you record in the alpha will get a reply from an office today, and we will not suggest otherwise.

Agora is built so that an office sees how its own constituents responded, separately from everyone else, and can answer them. That loop needs an office on the other end. The record of earlier platforms that promised a reply they could not deliver is in our civic technology archive, and we do not intend to add to it.

What comes next

We are looking for the first office, in New York. If you work in or with an office that would publish to its district and answer what comes back, we would like to hear from you.

Everyone else: open the alpha, look up your own representatives, and tell us what you expected to find and did not.
